Marilyn Holt-Smith, CFA
Marilyn Holt-Smith is President and Managing Director of Holt-Smith Advisors. She serves as Senior Portfolio Manager, Director of Marketing and as a member of the Equity Investment Committee. Before starting Holt-Smith in 1987, Marilyn was a Vice-President and Portfolio Manager for Madison Investment Advisors from 1979-1987 as well as an Officer and Director of Bascom Hill Funds. She received her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1985. Marilyn was an originator of SB Bancorp/Settlers Bank located in Deforest, WI. She currently serves as a Board member for the financial institution. Marilyn was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1990, the President’s Award from Wisconsin Women Entrepreneur (WWE) in 1990, and the Member of the Year award from the Independent Business Association (IBA) in 1995. In 1993 Marilyn received the Dane County Small Business Award for distinguished service to the small business community. Marilyn was also the recipient of the 2003 NAWBO-Wisconsin Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year award and the 2003 Friends of the UW-Extension award. Marilyn has a BA and MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
