Bruce Neviaser, Chair - General Partner, Continuum
Investments, LP, and Chairman of the Board, Great Wolf Resorts, the
nation’s largest operator of destination indoor waterpark family
resorts. Great Wolf Resorts had a successful IPO in December 2004.
Mr. Neviaser was also one of the earliest investors in Bone Care
International, which was sold to Genzyme Corporation in 2005 in a
transaction valued at approximately $600 million.
Daniel J. Broderick - Managing Director, Mason
Wells Venture Funds with over $375 million currently under management.
Jan Eddy - Ms. Eddy was founder, president and
CEO, Wingra Technologies, LLC, a Madison based software company,
from 1990 until its acquisition by Quest Software, Inc. early in
2005. Wingra was funded entirely by angel investments. From
1983 until its sale to Software Publishing in 1988, Ms. Eddy was
the president, CEO and Chairperson of Office Solutions, Inc, a venture-backed
software company. Ms Eddy remains involved in many business,
non-profit, and economic development efforts in the state including
directorships of DEMCO, First Business Financial Services, First
Business Bank, Meriter Retirement Services, Wisconsin Technology
Council and Collaboration Council.
Paul Frederick - Chairman, Frederick & Company,
Inc., which focuses on investment banking and provides financial
assistance and advice to selective emerging growth companies.
Janice Galbavy - Vice President, Silicon Valley
Bank-Chicago Office, which provides diversified financial services
to emerging growth and mature companies in the technology, life science
and private equity industries. At present, SVB has over $5 billion
in assets and 1,000 employees in 27 domestic offices and 2 international
subsidiaries in the U.K. and India.
Irene Hrusovsky, M.D. - President and Chief Executive
Officer of Madison-based EraGen Biosciences, Inc., a molecular diagnostics
company focused on Women's Health. Prior to coming to Madison, Dr.
Hrusovsky served as Vice President of General Medicine/Medical Marketing
Strategy/Clinical Operations at GlaxoSmithKline. Dr. Hrusovsky also
spent over 20 years at Abbott Laboratories, holding executive management
positions in Pharmaceuticals, Clinical Diagnostics, Licensing and
Business Development, and in various entrepreneurial business ventures.
Ken Johnson - Managing Director, Kegonsa Seed Fund,
which focuses on technology transfer from universities, medical centers,
and research institutions located in Wisconsin and the Midwest as
the primary source for its Portfolio Company products.
Amy Millman - President, Springboard Enterprises,
a national non-profit organization, which accelerates women's access
to equity markets and has helped 320 women entrepreneurs who have
raised over $3 billion in equity capital to date.
Kathy Polansky - President, ShoreBank Capital which
provides loans in the manufacturing and healthcare sectors and subordinated
debt/equity financing to businesses located in emerging communities
and businesses owned by ethnic minorities.
David Ward, Ph.D - President, North Star Economics
and former Senior Vice President and Chief Academic Officer for the
University of Wisconsin system, the sixth largest system of higher
education in the United States. Dr. Ward was recently awarded the
Chancellor's Medallion for his long service in teaching and administration
within the UW system. Dr. Ward is the author of the NorthStar Guide
to Growth and Venture Capital for Wisconsin
